A Folding Exercise Bicycle Requires Less Space
Many people use the excuse of not having enough space in which to use an exercise bike, but a folding exercise bicycle has made this a moot point. Since the introduction of the folding bicycle, people have realized its value in not requiring a lot of space for storage.
Those living in small apartments or houses had trouble finding a place to store them. Folding exercise bicycles are offered now in several models that open for use and fold up for easy storage in a closet, for example, or even under a bed. With this design in mind, a folding exercise bicycle was developed to provide so-called city-dwellers the access to the exercise or training equipment they were looking for.
Similar to a folding exercise bicycle is a magnetrainer which is basically a stationary bike without a seat and handle bars. While seated in a regular chair, it can be placed in front of you and used as a bicycle for leg exercises or placed on a table and used to strengthen hands and arms.
Small Area Needed for Storage
Several folding exercise bicycle models exist which allow for easy storage, and when set up for use are difficult to differentiate from a non-portable unit. Stationary bikes can be bulky to store and are often left in a room, taking up valuable space. Some folding exercise bicycles will fold from the sides, while others can be slipped into a vertical position and stood up in a closet or behind a bed’s head board.
A less expensive option of obtaining a folding exercise bicycle may be the use of a standard folding bicycle with an exercise bicycle stand to have your own folding exercise bicycle. The stand, which is reasonably small and the folding bike can be stored together or separately to offer the space savings of a folding exercise bicycle.
With this introduction, it becomes even more difficult to postpone buying an exercise bike and finally getting back in shape. Often, folks will switch from their conventional exercise bike to a folding exercise bicycle to regain floor space. Not so much for adding furniture, but for open areas to allow better traffic flow and not have a room appear cluttered all the time. Of course, some may switch to a folding exercise bicycle to avoid having that extra clothes hanger in the room!
